Randy Button founded The Capitol Strategy Group, LLC in January of 2007 following more than 20 years experience in the political arena. Randy has earned a reputation as a leading political insider. Before establishing the firm, he was the CEO of several successful business ventures.
Randy's professional background includes real estate development and construction. He formerly chaired the Tennessee Real Estate Appraisers Commission and the Tennessee State Board of Equalization.
At the local level, Randy served as the Roane County Property Assessor. Randy is a campaign veteran who served critical roles in presidential, senate, congressional, state legislative and gubernatorial races. He was two-term chairman of the Tennessee Democratic Party and served as co-chair of Governor Haslam's Inaugural Committee.
Randy is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a degree in business administration and finance. He is a member of the Appraisal Institute, Tennessee Golf Foundation, Nashville Sports Council, and the Tennessee Lobbyist Association. Randy and his wife, Kim have three children, Courtney, Lindsey, and Adam, and live in Brentwood.
